Medfolio
Support
Help with keeping your records organized and available.
Keep your medical information private. Do not send records or backup files to support. If you send a screenshot, remove names, identifiers, and medical details first.
Contact support
Email support@getmedfolio.app for app help or privacy questions.
For app problems or privacy questions, describe what happened, the steps to reproduce it, your Medfolio version (in More → About Medfolio), your device model, and iOS or Android version. We cannot access or recover your local vault.
How do I move records to another phone?
- On the old phone, open More → Backup & restore and create a backup.
- Save the ZIP somewhere you trust. It is not encrypted and contains medical information.
- Install Medfolio on the new phone, open Backup & restore, and select the saved ZIP for restore.
- Review the restore summary. Confirm only when you are ready to replace the current vault. Check your records and documents before removing the old installation.
Medfolio has no cloud sync and excludes its vault from automatic device backups. If a device is lost or the app's data is removed before you save a manual backup, support cannot retrieve those records.
Why is extracted text wrong or missing?
Text recognition can make mistakes. Blurry scans, handwriting, complex layouts, and unsupported files can limit extraction. Check the original document, scan it more clearly if needed, and review or correct record details in the app. A document preserved as an attachment is not necessarily searchable in full.
What if importing or scanning fails?
Try selecting the document again or importing a clear image or PDF. If scanning cannot use the camera, check Medfolio's camera access in device settings. Importing a photo uses the system picker; full photo-library permission is not required.
How does App Lock work?
Enable App Lock in More → Privacy & security. It uses your device's authentication and does not create a separate Medfolio password or encrypt the vault. If authentication fails, check your system credential or biometric setup. Avoid uninstalling to troubleshoot unless you have a usable saved backup.
How do I delete my information?
Open a record and choose its delete action. Archived records are still stored and can be deleted from More → Archived records. Deleting an attachment removes that attachment. Delete exported backups or shared copies separately. There is no Medfolio account or server vault to delete.
What should I do if the app cannot start?
Use Retry if the startup screen offers it, then restart the app or device and check for an app update. Keep a saved backup before removing app data or reinstalling. When contacting support, describe the error without sending medical content.
Medical questions
Support can help with the app, not interpret records or recommend care. Consult a healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. For an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
